The Role

The Demand Generation Specialist will work closely with Sales and Marketing and be responsible for generating leads, qualifying prospects, and driving sales primarily through phone calls, emails, and other digital communication channels. Their role is crucial in creating opportunities for the sales team and contributing to the overall sales pipeline.

 
Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation:

  • Prospecting: Identify potential leads through various sources such as databases, social media, industry events, and online research.
  • Outbound Outreach: Initiate contact with potential customers through cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach.
  • Inbound Lead Handling: Respond to inbound inquiries from potential customers, generated through marketing campaigns, website forms, and other channels.

Lead Qualification:

  • Assessing Leads: Evaluate the suitability of leads based on predefined criteria such as budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT).
  • Engagement: Engage with leads to understand their needs, pain points, and readiness to purchase.
  • Nurturing Leads: Maintain ongoing communication with potential customers to build relationships and move them through the sales funnel.

Sales Development:

  • Setting Appointments: Schedule meetings or demonstrations for the field sales team or senior sales representatives.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate information about leads and prospects.
  • Follow-up: Regularly follow up with leads to keep them engaged and progress the sales conversation.

Collaboration:

  • Team Coordination: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on lead generation strategies and campaigns.
  • Sales Handoff: Ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads to the sales team for further development and closure.
  • Feedback Loop: Provide feedback to marketing and sales teams about the quality of leads and the effectiveness of campaigns.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Metrics Tracking: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the number of leads generated, conversion rates, and pipeline value.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze the success of lead generation activities and adjust strategies to improve outcomes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with potential customers and convey value propositions.
  • Sales Acumen: Understanding of sales processes and techniques to effectively qualify and nurture leads.
  • Persistence and Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and continue making contact attempts.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organization to manage multiple leads and follow-up activities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), email marketing tools, and other sales enablement technologies.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to understand and address customer needs and pain points.
